All youth who participate in California's extended foster care program are required to dedicate a minimum of 20 hours per week to work, school, and/or volunteer opportunities
Many of our residents prioritize work over school, at least for the time they are with us, because they know that the more they are able to save, the easier their lives will be when we have to send them out into the world when they turn 21. But many of our residents’ jobs disappeared as the pandemic took hold.
Our new internship program allows our residents gain invaluable work experience u with local employers for an 8-week internship, and receive a stipend for their efforts.
Thanks to the wonderfully generous donors whose support allows us to find a creative solution to the employment challenges the pandemic presents.

We rely on community support to provide our residents with the kind of educational opportunities they require to overcome previous set-backs and flourish in an environment of positive reinforced values.

Guardian Angels are the heart of our sustained giving program. Recurring donations at every level allow us to project and meet the needs of our residents. A yearly donation of $1200 and up (or recurring donation of $100 monthly) qualifies you as a Guardian Angel. A yearly donation of $2,500 and up qualifies you as a Bronze Level Guardian Angel.
