Bridge Gardens is a unique public garden, offering education programs to the community on sustainable gardening practices, as well as community gardens for individuals and families interested in growing their own food. The vegetable demonstration area at the Gardens supports not only programming at Bridge Gardens but also local food pantries.

Founded in 1983, the Peconic Land Trust conserves Long Island's working farms, natural lands, and heritage. Since its inception, the nonprofit Trust has worked conscientiously with landowners, communities, municipalities, partner organizations, and donors, to conserve over 14,000 acres of land on Long Island.
