Every year, more than 1,200 animals come to the Chemung County SPCA in need. Many of these animals come to us in poor condition, and they require veterinary intervention to help prepare them for their new lives.
Two of the most common procedures that need to be performed are dental cleanings and extractions. Poor dental health not only compromises the animals' well-being but also negatively impacts their adoptability. Unfortunately, due to the cost, in many shelters, animals with poor dental health are not given the second chance they deserve. That's not how we operate and that's why we've decided to start the Tooth Fairy Fund.
Dental procedures are expensive and we need your help. By supporting the Tooth Fairy Fund, you not only get the satisfaction of helping animals in need by providing them new opportunities for a happy, healthy life, you will also receive exposure and recognition through our various marketing channels. This important program will not only help to spread the message about the importance of good dental health for pets (and for people), it will also recognize you as a good community partner; one who cares deeply about our pets and the SPCA's mission!
