Presently there are several summer camp programs in Yonkers, however, many are not affordable for families from homeless shelters, low-income households and/or foster care. Without CLUSTER’s Summer Day Camp, children have lost the opportunity to participate in enriching summer activities where they can learn, play and express themselves creatively in a safe environment during the summer months. Participation in CSDC will provide children who live in Yonkers the opportunity to partake in activities which otherwise would be unaffordable.

To restore CLUSTER’s Summer Day Camp we must raise $100,000, we will not be able to do this without you. Please consider Sponsoring CLUSTER's "Bring Summer Camp Back."

CSDC will serve up to 100 children ages 6-13 who live in Yonkers. The children will be ethnically diverse, reflecting the neighborhoods they come from. Many of the children and families we serve are from households where English is not their first language. 21.8% students enrolled in Yonkers Public Schools live in poverty. That number increases as you identify the population served by CSDC. 27.1% and 27.8% Elementary Schoolers (grades 1-4) and Middle Schoolers live in poverty; respectively. Most of our campers come from households receiving some level of public assistance. Single parent households (Mother led) and homeless/displaced families make up a large percentage of our population and a number of the children enrolled annually are from families newly arrived to the United States. Applications will be accepted ongoing until the program has reached its enrollment capacity.

We need 100K for 100 KIDS.

How many kids can you make a difference for in 2024?
