The Foundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine (FOCOS) is a non-profit organization launched in the United States in 1998, under the visionary leadership of Dr. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei, who is one of the world’s prominent specialists in treating spinal deformities. The organization’s mission is to provide access to optimum orthopedic care to improve the quality of life in Ghana and other countries. We help underserved patients throughout the world.

CURRENTLY, the hospital is in DIRE need of a new physical rehabilitation center and new equipment. WE NEED YOUR HELP! The existing facility is extremely small, very outdated, and the equipment available is slowly breaking down. There is also a shortage of trained, qualified medical professionals.

It is our desire to create an ultra-modern center that not only allows us to expand and improve our services, but also allows the hospital to train and build capacity and provide rehabilitative therapy to the many Ghanaians, and patients from other countries, who have no access to rehabilitative services.

Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) has awarded us a challenge grant. However, for us to receive the grant funds, we must raise the total amount listed on this page. The entire project is totally contingent on this.
