Explore the Gunpowder is a hybrid event where residents can engage in activity and exploration challenges at their own pace, join the watershed community for volunteer opportunities, and compete against their friends and neighbors. The 2024 Explore the Gunpowder event period is April 22 – May 31, 2024.
This form officially registers you as an Activity Challenge participant! Complete 35 miles of activity in celebration of GVC’s 35th anniversary! You can bike, walk, run, roll, swim, paddle or otherwise move through the watershed. Once you complete your payment, you will receive a code to join our Activity Challenge on the Pacer app and will be eligible for the challenge coin and grand prize entry. Pacer can track your steps using your smart phone or it can link to your smart step counting device (e.g. Fitbit).
You will receive an email "Your Explore the Gunpowder Registration Packet" from [email protected]. Check all email folders to make sure that you receive it!
The Explore the Gunpowder Watershed Challenge is hosted by the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC), a Baltimore County-based land trust and watershed restoration nonprofit organization. Your support will greatly help us expand our work preserving land and promoting clean water in the Gunpowder Watershed.
