Dear Clearwater Members,

Over the last fifty years, you’ve volunteered countless of hours in support of our efforts to protect the Hudson River. As we continue to face the danger of PCB pollution, as well as new threats posed by climate change and human efforts to cope with it, we need your help even more. Recognizing that often members would like to help, but can’t afford the fees we charge volunteers to cover food and other expenses, we have created the Clearwater Ambassador fundraising program.

As a Clearwater Ambassador, you can spread the word about Clearwater’s work and accept tax-deductible donations on our behalf. You can choose whether these donations go towards scholarship funds for Sloop volunteers, Clearwater Festival volunteers, or education sails. As an Ambassador, you can designate which individual’s (including your own) or group’s expenses are covered by scholarship funds you raise. Any funds you raise beyond what your chosen beneficiary uses can be allocated to Clearwater operations at your request. Otherwise, they will be allocated to Clearwater operations at the end of our fiscal year, November 30.
