For more than 30 years, I've volunteered at Clearwater's annual music and environmental festival each June.  A couple of years ago I joined Clearwater's Board to further support the organization and its mission of protecting the Hudson River and training the next generation of environmental leaders.

Especially in the current "environment" I feel it's important to support an organization like Clearwater which works actively to protect the environment through education (on the sloop, above, and elsewhere) and through advocacy.  After Pete Seeger was inspired to raise money to build her to raise awareness of the state of the Hudson, the sloop was launched in 1969 to spread the word about the importance of this mission -- and the mission is more important today than it has ever been.   Please help by supporting Clearwater in its second 50 years of working to make the world a better place.   If your current or former employer matches donations to this kind of charitable organization, please consider applying for that match for your donation.   Thank you!
