Indiana Donor Network Foundation created the Angel Fund in 2014 to provide assistance to transplant recipients who could not otherwise afford their medications. Recently, we added other elements to that mission. First, we now also provide transplant recipients with financial assistance to cover the cost of transportation to necessary medical appointments. Second, we provide additional grief support to the families, specifically children, of donor heroes. All donations to the Angel Fund directly benefit these worthy causes. Click here to learn more.
We are delighted to accept direct donations to fund educational scholarships for the family members of Indiana organ and tissue donors, as well as living organ donors, transplant recipients, people waiting for organs and their family members. Click here to learn more.
Offered at a time when there are no words to say, Indiana Donor Network’s Threads of Compassion program provides comfort shawls to donor families at the time of their loved one’s donation. The shawls are knitted and crocheted by volunteers across Indiana who give their time to create beautiful, handmade gifts for families to use while they are in the hospital and to take with them as loving remembrances. The hope is that the shawls will bring families comfort in their time of sorrow and transition. Click here to learn more.
The Bryan Clauson Legacy Fund supports donor families before, during and after their loved one’s donation. Funds collected help create a private space within the Indiana Donor Network Organ and Tissue Recovery Center where families can spend time with their loved one prior to organ recovery. The fund also helps relieve the burden on donor families by covering hotel stays, gas, food and other necessities prior to and during donation. Click here to learn more.
