Through this national campaign, the United States Post Office asks residents to leave non-perishable food by their mailboxes for pickup, and the food is then brought to warehouses across the country to be sorted and repacked for distribution into our communities. This year, the event will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024. Once food is collected, the US Postal Service will transport it to a central warehouse, where more than 500 volunteers and staff will sort the items and prepare the food for distribution to our network of member agencies.
Last year 360,000 pounds was collected and donated to Island Harvest, which helped support 300,000 meals.
Funds raised through this page will go towards purchasing food for our neighbors in need.
