Volunteer Information

KNOX Urban Farming Program Requirements:

Must be a resident of Hartford at the time the program begins.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Should not currently be involved in a farming or food-based business.
Must be able to read and write in English.
Must be able to attend all program classes and team meetings.
Must be able to commit at least 12 hours per week during the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
It should be adaptable to weather changes, and interactions with insects, pests, poison ivy etc.

2024 Program Schedule:

March 19th - June 18th In-class and Farm Coursework

June 22nd Urban Farming Retreat from 12 PM - 6 PM

June 24th - November 22th Tending your Growing Spaces, Farmers Market Introduction

Monthly Cohort Meetings

November 23rd KNOX Harvest Market from 10 AM - 2 PM
