Long Beach Little Linksters is an introductory golf instruction program for youth between the ages of 7-12. Youth who show interest and potential in golf will have the opportunity to participate in a week of golf instruction. The program will include instruction in putting, chipping, full-swing, rules, etiquette and course management. At the completion of the week each youngster will be able to enroll in the Long Beach Junior Golf Association, a year-round program meeting every Friday evening at Heartwell Golf Course. Youngsters who complete the week of instruction will be given a bag, putter, wood and iron. One session will be held with a maximum enrollment of 40 juniors for the week.

We hope that the junior will continue golfing by enrolling in the Long Beach Junior Golf Association at the completion of the lessons. For information, call: (562) 570-1272.

Requirements for Participation:

Registration fee to be submitted with application: $135. Scholarships are available through Partners of Parks for those needing financial assistance. Click HERE to apply online.
1. Youth must be between the ages of 7-12 and not own any golf clubs.
2. Youth will be required to write and submit a one page letter with application stating reasons why they would like to be selected for the Long Beach Little Linksters program.
3. The youngster must have perfect attendance at the week-long clinic in order to keep the golf equipment.
4. Please bring both the completed Minor Release Form and Registration and Emergency Contact Form to the Long Beach Junior Golf Association Office at 6730 E Carson St BY WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15TH in order to finalize your registration.

Each youngster will receive:

Week-long introductory clinic including golf outing and awards luncheon on Friday at Heartwell GC.
1. Starter set of clubs and bag.
2. Golf balls, hat/visor and shirt.
3. Opportunity to enroll in the Long Beach Junior Golf Association's year-round program. Fee: $60 (Green fees are extra.)
4. Awards will be presented at 11:30 a.m. on Friday July 15th, 2022. All are welcome.

After payment is complete Minor Release and Registration and Emergency Contact Forms must be returned to the LBJGA office by Wednesday, June 15th, 2022.
