Matthew came to faith in Jesus Christ in his teen years. Soon, with a passion for God and seeing people trust Christ for salvation, he became an evangelist and has been church planting for more than 10 years. He has pastored churches and began training with CCI in 2013. The CCI Myanmar National Director invested in him for three years helping him learn how to promote the CCI training program and lead Teacher Training Workshops so he could develop trainers with pastors in his area of Myanmar.
In 2017, he was asked to serve as a Regional Coordinator over southeastern Myanmar. Through his leaders, over the past two years he has help start 7 classes with 37 students. For the past year, because of a military coup that has targeted Christians, Matthew and his church family have been hiding in the forest and continuing to evangelize and plant new churches from village to village.
As Regional Coordinator, Matthew receives personal support and ministry support for training and travel. Presently, to be fully supported to serve in the position, he needs an additional $200/month.
