“This is a legacy to my mother Mary Guthrie who her grandchildren lovingly called “Mimi”. She
was an avid reader + crossword puzzle enthusiast amongst many of her other interests. Growing
up my Mom always had books and other reading materials available in our house for my sister
and me to enjoy. I remember my favorite bedtime story “Make Way for Ducklings” by Robert
McCloskey which I would go on to regularly read to my children. It was my Mom’s favorite baby
shower gift. The opportunity to have access to books and to develop good reading skills is a
valuable investment toward a child’s successful future.”
