Paul Luby has been dedicated to theatre and the arts from the time he began his career in 1975 right up to his retirement in 2018. He received his BA and MS degrees in Theatre from Florida State University.  Along with his work in academia, he has amassed design and technical production credits in the field from CBS Television, Paramount Productions, and the Centel Cable Network.

Hired at what was then Seminole Community College in 1988, he served as a Professor and as Technical Director for the Fine Arts Theatre. He later became Department Chair for the Arts & Communications department in 2004, subsequently assuming the role of Associate Dean in 2011, then Dean of Arts & Communications in 2016.

Throughout his thirty year career at the College, he has produced, directed, and performed in many plays and productions, impacting the academic and artistic lives of thousands of students.
