All proceeds will go to support research in honor of Zachary Houliares who has a progressive and debilitating neurological disease called Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT). His CMT mutation is c12orf65, also known as CMT6 and Leigh’s syndrome. CMT causes severe muscle atrophy, weakness and blindness. Despite Zachary's challenges and being legally blind with a vision of 20/2400, he continues to champion everyday tasks with resilience and thrives in his community.
Currently there is no cure, but the Hereditary Neuropathy Foundation is changing that by funding a gene therapy approach to cure him.
