Project Child, founded in 1991, is a unique local coalition with the purpose of preventing child abuse. The work of Project Child focuses on four key areas: parenting education, public education & awareness, child education and community advocacy – making it well aligned with CSC’s vision for a community where every child thrives and every family succeeds. Since inception, Project Child has provided parenting classes to nearly 100 parents each year, held 28 conferences supporting 5,000 individuals through professional development. The mission of CSC is to prepare young children and their families to succeed in learning and in life. We believe that every child should have equal opportunity for success, and that early experiences shape the future.
