Greensboro History Museum's Project Democracy 20/20

explores the history of our nation’s ongoing project, American democracy,

and its best tool -- the vote.

Using our vote, we tinker, invent, mend and adjust, attempting to build a nation that supports the ideals of democracy, both through its system of representative government and its values of freedom and equality. It is an ongoing cycle of freely flowing information, public debate, protest, compromise and elections that is constantly adapting to better meet the needs of our changing world.

Through exhibits, programs, community collaborations and education initiatives, the Greensboro History Museum’s Project Democracy 20/20 examines the challenges and successes that generations have encountered as they have tried to fulfill democracy’s promise.

Our hope is that when participants learn how hard people fought for the right to vote, and what that right means, they will be inspired to thoughtfully engage with the democratic processes of our neighborhoods, city, state and nation.

Any amount is appreciated, whether it is $19 in honor of the 19th amendment or a major sponsorship.
