Harvey Wynne was known for serving others and building was his passion! As a California National Guardsman and Firefighter, he spent his professional career assisting people. Throughout his life, he volunteered with many organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Westmont College's Potter's Clay, Lompoc Foursquare Church, and the Lompoc Historical Society.
Harvey took numerous trips around the US and to other countries to help build houses for those in need. S.H.P. (Sleep in Heavenly Peace) is an organization that builds handmade beds and delivers them to children that have no bed of their own! Harvey was a true model of building for others and service work in the community and we at SHP are proud and excited to hold a "Harvey Wynne Memorial Build" to honor his legacy! Join us as we build together as a community in honor of Harvey Wynne!
Our goal for the Harvey Wynne Memorial Build is 50 beds. Each bed costs $250 and includes a handmade twin-size bed, a mattress, a mattress cover, sheets, pillow and blanket. If $2500 is raised, we will build 10 beds. We will build one bed for every $250 above that all the way up to 50 beds for $12,500! All beds will be delivered to children in North Santa Barbara County!
