Thank you for your interest in scheduling a Virtual Education Class for your students! Virtual Education Classes are offered at 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, and 1pm Monday-Friday.

Classes will last approximately 1 hour [via Zoom or Google Meets] and will include 1-3 Ambassador animal interactions, as well as footage of our marine animals. Ambassador animals may include reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, and/or large insects, Students will have the opportunity to interact and ask questions during the virtual class. Please limit your group to a maximum of 30 students per virtual class.

Classes are aligned with Next Generation Science Standards and Missouri Learning Standards, following the topics of:

Grade Level Courses:

K – 2^nd Grade: Animal Needs
3^rd – 4^th Grade: Adaptations
3rd-5th Grade: Who Polluted the Mississippi River?
5th-8th Grade: Food Webs and Population Balance
6th-12th Grade: Engineering Solutions for Animal Care

Universal Grade Level Courses [K-High School]:

Optional Add-On: Meet our sloth, tamandua, or African grey parrot and chat with a biologist! For an additional $40, your students can meet one of our larger ambassador animals. Adding on an additional animal interaction will extend your program by 15 minutes, making it a 1 hour and 15 minute virtual class.

All classes will be conducted through Zoom unless otherwise agreed upon in advance. Classes must be scheduled at least 1 week in advance.

All requests are subject to change. If we are unable to fulfill your request, we will substitute a different ambassador animal. These decisions may be made last minute, as we give our animals choice and control over their participation in our programs. We recommend keeping the animal species a surprise to your students since we cannot guarantee availability. Thank you for understanding.
