The Taylor Family Bridge Grant

The Taylor Family Bridge Grant was established at St. Brendan High School in 2020 through a generous donation made by Colin and Rosemary Taylor Bodell '80. Made in honor of Rosemary's parents, Eileen and John G. Taylor, Sr., this grant provides tuition assistance for those students who experience financial hardship. St. Brendan High School is very grateful to Colin and Rosemary for giving us the opportunity to establish this grant as a permanent addition to our list of financial awards.

Eileen and John Taylor sent their six children to St. Brendan High School. Their belief in the importance of a Catholic Education was of the utmost importance and now their children have provided the school with a way for Sabres to pay it forward.

“My parents believed in the importance of a Catholic education. They both worked the night shift for years in order to cover tuition costs for all six of us. An unexpected financial hardship would have meant withdrawing some, or all of us, from Catholic school. Today, coronavirus-related shutdowns have brought unprecedented upheaval. Assisting St. Brendan families is something my husband and I want to do to honor the sacrifices of my parents all those years ago. Colin and I hope that by creating this fund, others will recognize their own blessings and contribute. We hope it provides peace of mind to families to know that a safety net exists to help them out when they need it most.” - Rosemary Taylor Bodell ’80

The Taylor family and St. Brendan High School invites all Sabres, regardless of their graduation year, to contribute to this fund and support our students in need.
