GPS is a daily part of all our lives anymore! It seems we jump into the car and ask for the navigation system to lead us to where we intend to go. The Blessing Board opens the annual Giving Tuesday campaign with the offer of our GPS. Give-Pray-Serve! Over the next few weeks, you will read and hear stories about the work of The Blessing Board. How the lives of our volunteers have been enriched here. How the life of a single mother changed because now her children have a bed to sleep in for the first time. As you read or hear them, take time for prayer and reflection and allow yourself to become part of The Blessing Board. Please reflect on the lives of over 12,000 families served through this ministry and the countless tears and hugs shared by our volunteers and families. GIVE generously this year to ensure that The Blessing Board can continue to serve even more families in the years to come. PRAY for the ministry and its leadership to discern God’s will for the future and finally seek to SERVE in some way and witness the transformation of lives here at The Blessing Board.

A young women Leona* has gone through a long road of struggle. She battled addiction for the past 2 years, affecting her work life and home life. She lost her children, lived in a shelter, and went through many jobs. She got a fresh start in a new place, got her kids back, and is on the road to recovery. Her Ambassador told her that we hope the big take away was that no matter what furniture she received that she felt the presence of God's love. She broke down and started crying with emotions of gratitude and joy. Before picking out furniture, she walked past the Bibles and asked if she could have one. The whole time she was picking things with her kids in mind. Like a teapot, sugar and creamer set in the Home Goods. "I can have a tea party with my kids!" By the end, she was asking if she could pray for us to continue the ministry we are doing. "What you guys do is commendable. You help people stay on the good right path that they need to keep their life together. But organizations like this make it so much easier for us who are struggling. We really are so grateful for this. Thank you for what you do."
