Our honorees will present a panel discussion: Celebrating Our Sheros. They will share with us stories about heroines in their lives - the women who have influenced us - in a conversation moderated by Benita Zahn, MS, DPS, CHWC. We will also share stories from The Women’s Fund scholarship winners during the event and updates on our program activities.

We invite you to join as a Trailblazers Sponsor or an Honorary Committee Member as an opportunity to invest in the efforts and programs of The Women’s Fund.

The Women’s Fund of the Capital Region, in partnership with local educational institutions, supports non-traditional female students in achieving their educational goals as a means to economic wellbeing.

($500 Level includes 1 ticket to this year's Trailblazers Luncheon)

The Shero Pin is closely patterned after the original Women’s Fund ‘Leaping Lady’ pin, given to the founders of The Women’s Fund to say thank for their generous contributions. Most importantly, it was part of the strategy to build up the fund which 15 years later has contributed over a half million dollars to women and girls in our community. The great majority of these funds have directly assisted over 80 women returning to college via impactful scholarships and emergency funds at Hudson Valley Community College and SUNY Schenectady.

The new Shero Pin can be obtained via these donation levels:

$100 for the Shero Pin itself;
$250 for the Shero Pin and inclusion as a Shero of The Women’s Fund on our website; and
$500 for the Shero Pin, inclusion as a Shero of The Women’s Fund on our website, and one ticket to The Women’s Fund 2023 Trailblazers.

There will be a $5.00 fee if you want us to mail the pin to you. Please choose the option that has "Mailed" in the description.

You can also pick your pin up at WERC's Troy office, 120 Defreest Drive, Troy NY 12180. Please choose the option with "Pick-up" in the description and contact Elizabeth Miller Guthier at (518) 225-3131 or [email protected] to arrange a pick-up time.

Please note that:

10 pins obtained at the $500 donation level funds one full-time scholarship;
10 pins obtained at the $250 donation level funds one part-time scholarship; and
5 pins obtained at the $100 donation level contributes to the emergency fund providing much needed financial relief.
