"70,000 people living in about 14,000 households in the NWOYA District in Uganda alone lack access to clean and safe water. They are left with no options but to drink water from unprotected sources or seasonal water streams that are shared with wild animals. This is an unsafe practice that causes the spread of many diseases and illnesses. But there are no options here.

Also, women and girls walk several miles in search of clean water every day.

One can spend the whole day looking for water.

That's why they don't have enough time to focus on doing farm work or attending schools".
