Join Waverly-Shell Rock Middle School Students as they raise funds for their 2nd well to provide clean water for a rural community in need.
Waverly-Shell Rock Middle School is a mile from the Cedar River in Northeast Iowa. Our 6th Graders are reading the book "A Long Walk to Water" and partnering with Water to Thrive to bring the community together in recognition that the world is ‘One Well’ and everyone deserves the right to clean, safe water. In addition to reading the book, students will have a presentation on Africa and conclude the study by simulating the walk with a student walk-to-river event during our Spirit Day. Students and staff will participate in learning activities focused on clean water while fundraising through our “Change4Change” campaign.
