Woodson Center’s mission is to transform lives, schools, and troubled neighborhoods, from the inside out.
The Center works to identify and bring recognition and funding to the efforts of grassroots neighborhood leaders and organizations that are effectively addressing critical problems of their communities through innovative initiatives.
Current programs include our Voices of Black Mothers United initiative, our Community Affiliate Network, our free Black History and Excellence Curriculum, and technical assistance for community/faith-based organizations through our Neighborhood Leadership Development Institute (NLDI).
