National Scholarship Program in Memory of Dr. Phyllis Browne

Last year, we had the opportunity to contribute to the National Youth Camp Program in Phyllis’s honour to help send children of military members to summer camp. This year, the National Youth Camp Program is currently waiting to officially launch overnight and day camps in order to follow COVID-19  restrictions. In place of the Youth Camp, a number of us thought that it would be worthwhile to continue supporting our troops and their families through the National Scholarship Program.  

In memory of our dear friend Phyllis, we thought that it may be nice to help support youth and spouses in military families as they pursue their continuing and post-secondary education. The Program was launched in 2015 and releases scholarships ranging in values between $500 and $2500. Each year, the Program coordinators struggle to fill the number of applications that they receive. For example, in 2020, the Program received 269 applications from across the country, but only 75 members of military families were awarded a scholarship.

Please know that there is absolutely no pressure to contribute to this cause as we all know how difficult times have been during this pandemic. However, if you would like to help support the Program in Phyllis’s honour, please make a donation below:
