The Omaha Public School Foundation administers this fund. The Omaha Public School Foundation is recognized as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is incorporated under Nebraska Law as a nonprofit corporation. All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law and go directly to the intended program, project or scholarship.

Payments made to fund a school trip or participation in a school related activity for a specific student are not considered donations to the Foundation. Whereas, general contributions in support of a school or school activity are considered to be donations to the Foundation, and therefore tax deductible.
