RECIPROCITY ~ OUROBOROS

with Laura Kennedy

Sat and Sun May 18, 19, 25 and 6, 9am-12pm @ Trailside Park

Create a work from respectfully harvested and gathered oak from within the park.

Explore and enjoy our local park while learning and having fun making community art.

There are many different species of snake that call Lake County, and specifically,
Trailside park, "home". Rattlesnake, gopher, and king snakes to name a few.

The title "Ouroboros" is a reference to an ancient and multicultural
symbol of: cycles, death, rebirth, regeneration. It is a symbol of a snake eating it’s own
tail. The snake is usually represented in a circular or figure eight shape. An unending
figure; no beginning and no end.

The sculpture we will co-create, Ouroboros symbolizes the regeneration of the flora and fauna of Trailside park. The
cycle of life post fire. ~
