There are many different species of snake that call Lake County, and specifically,Trailside park, "home". Rattlesnake, gopher, and king snakes to name a few.
The title "Ouroboros" is a reference to an ancient and multiculturalsymbol of: cycles, death, rebirth, regeneration. It is a symbol of a snake eating it’s owntail. The snake is usually represented in a circular or figure eight shape. An unendingfigure; no beginning and no end.
The sculpture we will co-create, Ouroboros symbolizes the regeneration of the flora and fauna of Trailside park. Thecycle of life post fire. ~ Laura Kennedy
