In support of The Children's Brain Tumor Project at Weill Cornell

Believe it or not, I only got to meet Brooke once (but as anyone who met her knows, once is all it takes). I was so inspired by her courage and the outpouring of support from the community that I felt compelled to do something proactive. Brooke’s journey inspired me to create a tapestry and, in doing so, connected me to her. While working, it felt as though Brooke was guiding me every step of the way. In my heart I know that Brooke will continue to make the world a better place by inspiring others to make a positive difference. 

Pictured above is “The Path of an Angel: a Tribute to Brooke Blake." This tapestry includes very personal items that represent Brooke's journey with DIPG, a deadly brain tumor found in children, including plastic from her radiation mask, clippings from her prescriptions, threads from her prayer shawl and roots from her garden.
