McClaney Family Resource Center Campaign

Of the many programs offered by SCLARC, the McClaney Family Resource Center stands out as a beacon of hope, help and understanding. The staff of the Center help families caring for children with a diagnosis to find solutions and services during their journey in caring for their loved one with a disability.

Dr. La-Doris McClaney, a real estate entrepreneur and philanthropist, recently made a $300,000 commitment toward support of the FRC, and invites others to join her in the effort to build impactful services for the community of South Los Angeles. As a result, many more families will receive a helping hand in learning to cope with what can be life changing news, and to find the resources they need to gain the best possible outcomes for their child.

Your support will change lives by adding knowledgeable staff, such as Parent Navigators, who provide support in accessing the complicated world of benefits and services that exist for children with disabilities. It will improve outcomes for young children, providing them with increased access to quality play, and developmentally appropriate activities. Most of all, your support will equip parents and caregivers with the tools they will need to be empowered advocates for their loved ones.
