CULTURAL JOURNEYS
Grades 2nd – 5th

CULTURAL JOURNEYS is an arts-based and project-based after school program designed to develop each student’s creativity through artmaking and exploration. Students learn new art skills and materials from drawing, printmaking, comic books, and more to create projects that reflect on their personal experiences. Register today and join us for an exciting after school program this Fall!

SOCCER FOR SUCCESS
Grades: K – 8th

Soccer for Success is a FREE out-of-school program that integrates physical activity, nutrition, mentorship and community engagement in a safe and non-competitive environment. This program is offered at various locations across the city.

VISUAL VOYAGES
Grades: 6th – 8th

Visual Voyages serves middle school students interested in building intermediate art-making skills. Students continue developing their ability to plan and create artworks with individual and small group projects. Students will learn how about local and contemporary artists and create artworks that respond to community and youth-related subjects. Students learn mediums like drawing, mixed media, illustration, and graphic arts.

EXPEDITIONS Digital Media Lab
Grades: 9th – 12th

The EXPEDITIONS Digital Media Lab introduces high school youth to digital media through photography, video, and audio projects. Students will also explore the role of social media and its impact on broader social issues. High school students can join us on Tuesdays to learn how to transform and impact their community’s past, present & future with media.

FRIDAY OPEN STUDIO
Grades: 6th – 12th

Friday Open Studio is a new option for middle & high school students. Structured around an open studio concept, registered students can use the MRC classroom space to study, work on school-related art assignments or learn from our staff of Teaching Artists. MRC offers WiFi for youth participants, homework help, and supportive space to create and learn.

YOUNG MEN’S WORK / YOUNG WOMEN’S LIVES
Grades: 6th – 12th

This activity is intended for youth participants residing or attending area schools in the Northeast community. These groups are focused on developing safe spaces for conversations around topics of violence prevention, identity, self-worth, substance abuse, community, and environment issues, and much more.

EATING FROM THE GARDEN

Eating from the Garden is a free in-school and after-school program being held at participating schools in the Northeast area. Students will learn about nutrition, wellness, and environmental care through gardening, growing experiments, mentorship, cooking demonstrations, and more. 

Programs will be held at the participating school. Dates and times are subject to change, and depend on each school's schedule.
