Volunteer Opportunities

Basic Dignity Coalition (BDC): monthly meeting for [any] community members looking for ways in which we can better support those experiencing homelessness in San Diego.

Homeless Youth & Legal Advocacy Project (HYLAP): serves to address criminal defense issues that are hindering homeless youth from positive growth.

Legal Referral & Advocacy Clinics: legal clinics supported by pro bono attorneys and local law students who provide community referrals and advice to those living on the streets.

MOD Squad Fresh Start Showers (FSS): mobile shower unit that goes out into the community on a weekly basis as part of shower events, which provide guests a shower, haircut, food, clothing, community resources and more.

MOD Squad Street Boutique: mobile shop providing homeless folks with access to menstrual and incontinence products, as well as new undergarments such as bras and underwear

MOD Squad Street Cafe: mobile farmer's market-style shop for guests to select fresh packages items and produce.

Survival Supply Distribution: bi-annual (summer & winter) day) distribution of items to those living on the streets in San Diego.

Transitional Storage Center: assist staff at TSC in East Village with check-in and cleaning
