WINGS Scholarship Donation

Women Initiating and Nurturing Growth through Scholarships (WINGS) is a life-changing scholarship and mentoring program for non-traditional students at Charlotte area universities offered by Women Executives (WE). As the sole philanthropic initiative of WE, WINGS provides scholarship and mentoring support for undergraduate students, 25 years or older, who are pursuing higher education to improve their lives.

GENERAL FUND: A donation to the General Fund will be dedicated to scholarships to scholars attending any of the partnering institutions including CPCC, Johnson C. Smith, Johnson &Wales, Queens and UNC Charlotte. 

ANNE DOSS FUND: In memory of WE member Anne Doss, the Anne Doss Fund is dedicated to funding scholarships of scholars attending CPCC's 2-year program.  Many of our CPCC scholars are also given the opportunity to continue as a bridging scholar if she chooses to attend our other partner institutions (listed above). 

TECHNOLOGY ENABLEMENT FUND: Each WINGS Scholar receives a fully loaded laptop with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs for use to enhance their ability to effectively study and complete their studies. The Mark and Jean Miller Technology Challenge Fund is dedicated to continuing to be able to fund these laptops and supporting technology to scholars.
